Cardtracker is made by one person who collects, and runs on price data from third parties. Here is who that is and where those numbers come from.
Who is behind this
Cardtracker is made by Nils, under the Fero Digital name.
It is not a marketplace and not an appraiser. Cardtracker keeps track of what you own and shows what the market says it is worth; buying and selling happens elsewhere.
Where the prices come from
Market prices come from Scrydex. They are updated daily, and every amount says when it is from. If a price is in dollars we convert it to euros and say so.
Which also says what it is not. A market price is an indication based on what others asked and paid, not an appraisal and not a guarantee. What your card fetches depends on its condition, its variant and who wants it at that moment. How to read a price.
What happens to your data
Your collection is yours. You can export it as a file at any time, and delete your account without having to ask anyone. What exactly we store is in the privacy statement. Read the privacy statement.
When you scan with the camera the image never leaves your device: recognition happens on the device itself, and only the card number that was read goes to the server to look the card up.
